US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 12
Welcome to my class! In this course, students will study reading, phonics, vocabulary, and grammar. We will also have plenty of free-talk conversations. The course includes short videos, songs, and games to help the student enjoy and remember the content. Course topics vary by level but may include animals, family, school, jobs, holidays, geography, friendship, and much more. I offer five levels of content from beginner to upper-intermediate. Level one students study the alphabet, basic vocabulary, and common sentences. Level 1 units start with 5 lessons per unit. Levels 2-5 units usually contain 10 lessons. Lessons packages are sold in groups of 10. If a unit is shorter, or a student moves through the lesson material quickly, we will start the next unit to complete the package. If the package ends before a unit is complete parents can purchase a second package or individual classes. This course is once a week for 10 weeks. If a student needs to miss a class please provide 24-hour notice to reschedule the class. Students may extend the class up to week 12 if necessary when rescheduling. Most Level 2-5 lessons are structured with lessons 1-4 and 6-9 introducing vocabulary and sentence structure. Lessons 5 and 10 are a review and quiz. For example: Level 3 Unit 2 Clothes Lesson 1: Vocab: shirt, pants, shoes, jacket; Q&A: What is this/that? If you have an advanced student please message me to determine the class content. I encourage new students to schedule a one-time trial class to determine the level that best suits the student. **Please send me a message if you would like to request a time.** **Policy** Per Outschool policy, if a student is more than 10 minutes late, it will be considered a missed class and not eligible for a refund. If no students have arrived at a class by 12 minutes after the start time I will end the class. If a student needs to cancel class, I will offer a reschedule when possible or issue a refund, as long as I am notified more than 24 hours in advance. In the case of a teacher scheduling conflict, I will offer to reschedule the class or issue a refund for the missed class. Thank you so much for respecting my time. :o)
