Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
· Art as a form of self-expression · Developing fine motor skills · Listening comprehension · Positive attitude toward learning · Growing confidence and sense of self-worth · Self-regulation of attention and behavior
My original classes, “It’s Pipe Cleaner Art Time!” and the ongoing club, were created from a lot of passion and nostalgia. When I was a kid, one of my favorite past-times was making fun things out of pipe cleaners. I love to share this joy with students, while also improving their fine motor skills and creative expression. I now have taught dozens (if not hundreds!) of pipe cleaner art classes and I'm excited to share my expertise with your learner. :)
No official homework. However, students are encouraged, of course, to continue to independently practice and experiment with pipe cleaner crafts for their own enjoyment.
It depends on exactly what project we end up doing, but in general, we will need: · Pipe Cleaners! As many colors and textures as possible · Scissors · A pencil or pen--something to wrap pipe cleaners around · Optional: Pom poms; googly eyes and glue; whatever else you’d like!
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please ensure your learner is able to safely use scissors as we will most likely be cutting some pipe cleaners!
