US Grade 6
This math tutoring session will help students struggling with math concepts. My goal is to make math fun for each learner! We may use songs, acronyms and even pictures to help bring difficult concepts to life. We'll find strategies to help with memorization and learn the steps to solving difficult math problems. Have homework that you are struggling with? Bring it to our session and we'll work on it together. This class is completely focused on the student's learning gaps and areas of struggle. Tailor made for you! Topics we may cover (based on student need): Math Fact Memorization (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) Adding with Carrying Borrowing with Regrouping Money Problems Word Problems Fractions (ordering, adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing) Perimeter, Area, Volume Decimals (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing) Place Value Two and three digit multiplication Long Division Ratios and Percent Exponents Solving problems with variables Any math topic your child is struggling with!
Learning Goals
Students will improve in math concepts that they are finding challenging. Students will build confidence in their math skills and hopefully develop a love of math!
