Sign up now for one-one-one tutoring with Miss Becca. As a teacher with a degree in Special Education, I am highly qualified to tutor children in the area of mathematics. In order to accurately tutor your child, I require for you (the parent) to send the topic(s) of the week for your student to me on Monday of the week. Each session will be 30 minute sessions. The sessions will include direct instruction of the material, practice, and a math game. I will use quizzing methods and observation during independent practice to ensure the student reaches 100% proficiency in the topic. Topics that can be covered: Multiplication Addition Subtraction Division Fractions Area/Perimeter Graphing and More!

Hello! Thank you for visiting my profile. I am so glad you are here. I am Rebecca, but my students call me Miss Rebecca. I am a South Carolina native with a big heart for students. I enjoy teaching math tutoring weekly here on Outschool. As a teacher that works with the special needs community, I do offer classes geared for students with special needs (or as I see it, special abilities). As a preschool teacher, I offer a morning circle time too. I started my professional teaching career six years ago in a self-contained Special Education classroom. I have taught students with multi-categorical special needs. I then moved onto being a preschool teacher. I have been a preschool teacher for four years. I have also been a special needs program director for 2 years. As a teacher, I try to make learning fun and knowledge attainable for all learners. I will accommodate and modify lessons as I see fit for the student. I have a tendency and have been told by multiple parents that I can turn a student's day from frustrating to positive. I am known to laugh at my own mistakes and teach students that adults make mistakes too. Overall, I believe I am a happy and positive teacher.
On a personal note, I love photography and spending time with family and friends. I love to spend my weekends with the ones I love the most. If I'm not spending time with them, I am outside tending to my flowers or sitting in my hammock chair reading a book or brainstorming new ideas.
