US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
Welcome to this exciting and engaging adventure for ESL learners! This 3-day ongoing class was created for learners ages 3-6 years. This 1:1 class will meet 3 times a week (Tues-Thurs) I want to welcome beginner, intermediate and advanced English language learners to this one on one class. During our time together, I will tailor instruction based on each learners individualized needs and learning goals. This curriculum is designed to build English language concepts including: listening, speaking, pronunciation, reading, writing, vocabulary and comprehension. The lessons are loaded with visuals and pictures to help guide learning as well as strengthen understanding. My goal is to help your learner gain confidence while learning and speaking the English language! During our time together, learners will explore and practice many literacy skills including: ABC’s, letter/letter sounds, letter recognition, sight words and phonics. Learners will discover numeracy skills including: counting, number recognition and number sense. Here’s our daily breakdown: Greeting Song 👋🏼 Classroom Expectations 😊 ❤️ Reading Day (Day 1) - Learners will explore and learn the alphabet, letter sounds, letter recognition, sight words and building sentences using our sight words. Each week we will have a new focus letter. We will take time learning about our focus letter through guided reading, interactive games and songs. We will strengthen English concepts by building language awareness and expanding vocabulary. 🧡 Writing Day (Day 2) - We will begin with a quick review of what we learned on Reading day (Day 1) to reinforce learning. Then learners will practice writing our focus letter of the week, name, sight words and sentences. We will also color our alphabet letter animal of the week! 💛 Math Day (Day 3) - Learners will discover and learn about numbers, shapes, colors, counting and addition/subtraction. Each week we will have a new focus number. We will learn about our focus number, counting, shapes and colors through interactive games and songs. 💚 Some important things to know: My teaching style is patient, positive and encouraging. I want learners to feel comfortable and have fun learning! I will email PDF files at the beginning of the week. We will work on these activities every week during our learning time together. We will take a quick brain break when learners get the wiggles! 💙 I want to welcome open communication and know more about your learner! If you could please message me prior to class about your learners interests and anything specific you would like to focus on during the class. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or if a different time works better for you. 💜 I am excited to meet your little learner! 💜
