Class Experience

US Grade 6 - 9
Beginner - Advanced Level
In these one-on-one weekly private sessions, I will be focusing on the art learner's interests and areas they need to learn depending on their goals. You can message me ahead of time and let me know the goals you have for the private lessons. After I meet with your learner, I will set goals as to how many lessons it will take to teach a particular concept. We will work towards those goals each session. Once goals have been met, we can discuss next steps and make new goals.

I can assist with putting art portfolios together and helping learners in art subjects they find challenging. I can also help them develop their own art style and expression. I have taught art for many years and have taught a variety of subjects like landscape, animals, people and faces. I have also taught a combination of abstract and realistic and how to have each one work together in your art. I have taught in mediums like drawing with pencil and pastels, painting with acrylic and watercolor and clay sculpting.

Feel free to reach out to me with more specific questions about your learner and how I can assist them develop their art skill.
Learning Goals
I will set goals and work towards those for each private session. We may set goals to learn a certain subject or a specific type of art or paints depending on what the learner and the parent communicate to me.

I have taught one-on-one private lessons and have had the privilege of helping learners with art portfolios for art school. I have also worked with learners on subjects they found to be a challenge and wanted improvement in.
I have taken years of classes on drawing and painting techniques myself and have been an artist for over 20 years. I am in the 8th year teaching art to children ages 7-18. I have taught ongoing painting and drawing classes in groups and privately. I have had the privilege to teach long term art learners that have entered art shows and have moved on from my art classes to continue their art education at art school.
