In this ongoing course, your child will embark on a magical story adventure and hands-on learning with related story crafts. Each week, students will learn a new affirmation and discover their own growth mindset superpower.

============== ⭐️ WELCOME ⭐️ ============== I am your teacher, Mrs. J of Beelieve Academy. I am so excited to learn and play with you. Each week, we'll start off with a themed story that will transport us to magical lands, teach us valuable life lessons, and spark our imagination. After the story, it's time to get crafty! We use basic art supplies you already have at home to make a connection to the story. Week 1 (2/8): Smart Cookie Story and Craft piece of white construction paper black marker variety of colors (pick crayons, markers, or color pencils) Week 2 (2/15): Hair Love Story and Craft Zuri (main character) Craft template scissors crayons , markers, or color pencils (skin tone color and color for shirt) glue Week 2 (2/22): The Sour Grape &Grape Craft green construction paper (light green if possible) black, brown marker or crayon google eyes Week 2 (2/29) : The Very Hungry Caterpillar & Caterpillar paper chain Craft glue black marker or crayon red and green construction paper scissors

Parental Guidance
We will use scissors during class. Please supervise children when using scissors.

A one page handout with all of the supplies will be posted prior to the first day of class and is also available in the class description.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I’m Terri Johnson or Ms. J! I currently homeschool 2 young boys ages 3 & 5. I have a BA in Psychology with a concentration in Child Development. I’ve almost a decade of experience teaching 2-6 years in public and private schools. I love to sing and dance with my kiddos- we often start our day with a dance party. The classroom is my happy place so I converted our guestroom into a homeschool classroom.
