Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
This course will help with creative writing, as well as social skills, through role play.
I don't believe this is a sensitive or high risk topic, but I have been playing many role playing games for several years now, and have run several games.
If your learner would like to download the PDF version of the game (or the physical copy), both are available at the Buried Without Ceremony website ( This is optional, but it's also a great game to support the creator of (Avery Alder)
6 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Role playing games in general vary widely on content, and can go from zero mature content to vastly mature. While running any games on Outschool, I will be staying far from all mature stuff. It does involve violence, as The Quiet Year throws many deadly obstacles in our paths, as well as role-playing, and sometimes I might describe a scene that would be fairly grotesque, but I will also adapt to the players, so if anyone is uncomfortable, I can easily tone that down. I have found that most players enjoy the more realistic descriptions, however.

If you would like to see if it seems appropriate for your learner, there are several live play videos of the game on YouTube, and the website has all other information.

About Me

Hi there! I'm Sam!
I have been here on OutSchool for about a year now, and I'm thrilled to be part of this community. I'll primarily be offering courses focusing on art, design, and some more "nerdy" ventures, such as Dungeons and Dragons.
