Class Experience

US Grade 7 - 9
Advanced Level
All advanced logic enthusiasts are welcome!
This class is designed for higher level thinkers that need a challenge in their learning. Those who have taken and excelled in my On-Going Logic class are the inteded target of this class. The teacher's background is in teaching gifted students in a pull-out program. The learners should have experience with logic puzzles, and enjoy being challenged. Private links will be provided for addtional sections if the teacher approves after meeting learner in the regular logic class.
In each class, students will work together to solve puzzles that are logic based. They will share their strategies with each other to solve the problems. Students will rely on each other to share their thought processes so that they can learn different strategies than they may have otherwise used. Puzzles will be displayed on a slide show and we will work through them as the class progresses. Learners will share in various ways. At times their answers will be shared via chat box with the teacher only so if they do not have the correct answer, they can try again without anyone else knowing that they gave an incorrect answer. At other times, they will take turns solving a problem, often using the annotation tools in Zoom. These methods change depending on the type of puzzle that we are working on that week and what will work best for that puzzle.
Class topics will be added as time progresses.
