Olympiad Math is a way of comprehensive training to students applying mathematical logic together with analysis on graphics, shape, color, size, weight, and distance in problem-solving. It is effective to improve children's communication and logical thinking. The class will be an hour weekly class, questions will be discussed during the class. Those questions are similar to IQ questions and require kids to solve them in their own way. It just likes playing math games in class. Students need a basic knowledge of math, plus, and minus. I will teach multiplication and division by using examples. Week of Jan 1st: Permutation and Combination, Speed Distance Time, Write Equation Week of Jan 2nd: Solve by Assuming, Geometric Problem, Logic, Cryptarithm Week of Jan 3rd: Logic, Prime Numbers, Venn Diagram, Excess and Shortage Problems Week of July 4th: Ratio, Angles and Triangles, Fraction, Area and Perimeter of Circles
Learning Goals
During the class, all students have chances to read questions. The same worksheet will be shared with the group. Students can review the questions that they have learned. There is no assignment. Happy learning!
