The learning goals for this course will investigate the history of the Cold War and how the Ohio Class submarine fits into our current United States nuclear strategy of peace through deterrence. Further, it will discuss the Trident II missile system that is on this nuclear submarine and some of the other systems on this submarine that make this mission possible. The focus will be on both history and science in this class. Specifically, Cold War history, peace through deterence, and how missile is launched from this submarine.
I am a 20-year military veteran with the Air Force, was docent at the Titan II Missile museum, and understand how military systems work and function. Additionally, I enjoy teaching science and history courses on Outschool.
