We'll have an interactive read aloud of "Oh My Gosh, Mrs. McNosh!" and "Mrs. McNosh Hangs up her Wash" and then we'll create new silliness as a class.

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - Kindergarten
During this class we will be listening to the story "Oh My Gosh, Mrs. McNosh!" by Sarah Weeks. I'll ask students to participate by "reading" parts of the story with me. After the story, I'll ask students to grab something fun from around their home that Mrs. McNosh could catch. We'll create some new silliness by having each student (who wants to) pretend to catch their item like Mrs. McNosh. Then we'll interactively read "Mrs. McNosh Hangs Up Her Wash", also by Sarah Weeks. If there's time, I'll ask students to to grab something else from around their home and pretend to hang it up.

Students will participate and have fun interacting with great literature.

I'm Susan Richardson. I hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Elementary Education. I have 29 years teaching experience. I have taught 13 years in the traditional classroom and 16 years in the library. I also have 8 years’ experience as a reading interventionist and have taught 3 years online.
I adore children’s literature and enjoy sharing it with others. I believe that enjoying reading has lead to much of the success I've had in life. I want to encourage others to find that same joy. My classes are full of laughter and learning. Everyone is welcome in my classroom. My goal is to make every student feel so comfortable they forget they are learning.
