Description
Class Experience
Students will have an opportunity to gain social skills, develop a sense of inquiry, enjoy hands on art activities and grow in a supportive environment.
Children may use their ocean journals to sketch ocean life we learned about in class. If they wish to document additional observations after class, they may; however, children are not required to provide additional documentation outside of class time. Children may also wish to continue painting after class on our watercolor painting day.
You will receive a multi page handout from the teacher on the first day of class that contains an overview of daily projects for the 4 weeks we will meet, along with our songs and ocean journal. Scissors (May require parental supervision for scissor use) Magnifying glass Seashells, sea glass, beach rocks or sea stars Crayons or colored pencils Watercolor paper, water color paints, paint brush Play dough Construction paper Glue stick
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours 40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Scissors are needed for some of our projects. (May require parental supervision for scissor use)
