Welcome to the ultimate 3rd-grade math experience-where becoming a Number Ninja means mastering math with precision, agility, and strength!  In this class, you'll embark on an exciting journey through the world of numbers, sharpening your skills and uncovering the secrets of math.  

Through games, challenges, and hands-on activities, students will gain exposure to fourth-grade curriculum in a fun, safe, and motivating environment. In addition to strengthening skills, your child will enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience that promotes character, community, learning, and joy. 

Classes are 1x/week for 35 minutes.

1.  Place Value and Number Sense:  The Foundation of Power
Our first mission is to strengthen your understanding of place value, the backbone of all numbers. You’ll learn to read, write, and compare numbers up to the millions, breaking down complex figures with ninja-like focus.

2.  Advanced Addition & Subtraction: The Art of Precision
Every Number Ninja must be swift and precise. We’ll dive deep into multi-digit addition and subtraction, using mental math and traditional algorithms to solve even the most challenging problems.

3.  Multiplication & Division: The Power of Multiples
Mastery of multiplication and division is key to becoming a true Number Ninja. You’ll explore various strategies to solve multiplication and division problems, from using arrays and area models to long division. We’ll also cover multiplication of multi-digit numbers, ensuring you’re equipped to handle larger and more complex calculations.

4.  Fractions & Decimals: The Path of Precision
As you progress, you’ll delve into the world of fractions and decimals—two essential skills for every ninja. You’ll learn to add, subtract, multiply, and compare fractions, and we’ll explore how to convert fractions to decimals and vice versa. 

5.  Geometry: Mastery of Shapes and Space
Geometry is where math meets the physical world, and as a Number Ninja, you’ll learn to see shapes and angles everywhere you go. We’ll study the properties of two-dimensional shapes, explore the concept of symmetry, and learn how to classify and measure angles. You’ll also get hands-on experience with area and perimeter, preparing you to solve real-world problems like a true ninja architect.

6.  Measurement & Data: The Science of Precision
Every ninja must be precise, and our measurement and data training will make sure you are. You’ll learn to measure length, weight, and volume using standard units, and practice converting between them. We’ll also dive into the world of data, teaching you how to collect, organize, and interpret information from graphs and charts.

7.  Problem Solving: The Ultimate Challenge
The final test of a Number Ninja is their ability to solve problems. Throughout the year, we’ll tackle a variety of word problems that require critical thinking and logical reasoning. You’ll learn to break down complex problems, identify the best strategies, and find solutions efficiently.
