If you enjoy twists on fairy tales, you will love The School for Good and Evil. This exciting story follows best friends Sophie and Agatha as they attempt to defeat Rhian and restore Tedros to his throne. In this six-week class, learners will participate in meaningful discussions as we read the novel together. Novel studies are an excellent way to engage reluctant readers or help enthusiastic readers dig a little deeper. Students will need their own copy of the text to complete assigned readings before attending class. We will explore the text and it's themes through discussion. Class will be conducted in a casual, conversation based style with plenty of time for exploring the book. As we discuss the book we will work on: -expressing our thoughts and opinions and listening to others -comprehension -prediction -character analysis -plot development
