Nihongo No Niwa 101: Sakura Course (Introductory Level)

This is typically a 3 to 6 week flexible 1-on-1 class that runs for 30 minutes. Your child will learn the basics of Japanese. t is best to contact me directly before scheduling.

Homework
1 hour per week. Sakura class does not have any homework save for practicing at home our phrases and vocab. Students are expected to take notes during the lesson.
Assessment
There will be a final assessment where the student introduces themselves using the phrases and vocab.

◎Numbers Up to 99: Counting in Japanese will become second nature.
◎Weather: Talk about sunny days, rainy afternoons, and more!

◎Days of the Week: Learn the names of all the days, making scheduling fun and easy.
◎How to Say Our School Grade: Identify their grade level in Japanese.
◎Months and Days of the Month: Understand and articulate dates.
◎How to Say Our Birth Date: Tell others when their special day is.
◎Our Nationalities: Talk about where they're from with pride.
◎Family Members: Introduce their family members, from parents to siblings.
◎Occupations/Jobs: Learn how to say different job titles.
◎First 4 Sets of Hiragana: Begin reading and writing in Japanese with these foundational characters.

This course is designed to be self-paced, allowing your child to learn at their own rhythm. There is no strict timeline, so they can focus on their strengths and get extra help on areas they find challenging. The aim is to build their confidence and ensure they feel comfortable as they advance to the next level, which is our Take Course.

At the end of the course, your child will have the opportunity to showcase what they’ve learned by presenting a self-introduction and introducing a family member. It's a fun and supportive way to celebrate their progress and see how far they've come!
