An incredible hybrid experience of theatre, storytelling, cooperative role-playing, cosplay, and improvisation. Like a live version of Dungeons and Dragons, Doctor Who, but set in its own Brothers Grimm folklore world.

Prework for Quests: It is optional but highly encouraged for the learner to cosplay (dress up) as their chosen character. It makes the whole experience much more immersive for everyone. It is also encouraged to also use the virtual background feature on Zoom to find something fitting for their character. Attached is the breakdown of the characters that the players can choose. A more detailed background will be found on the pdf after enrolment, this is only for those that would like to immerse themselves more deeply into the world. Costumes should be based around the 17th-18th Century. Most fairytale costumes are from this era. Remember that we can only see your head and shoulders, so you can also turn modern clothing into improvised hoods and cloaks. WIZARD "From a young age, you have been studying the ancient art of sorcery at the Wizards Tower. Kept away from the real world until now, it's time for you to go questing and use your magical powers in practical and exciting life-threatening adventures.” BARD “A singer of songs, a teller of tales, you are the person everyone gathers around by the fireside. You have passed down and told musings for many a year, but now you yearn for new stories to tell and think it’s time to set about these lands to discover original adventures to share for your next gathering.” WISE WOMAN “Known as the Old Lady of the Forest, you have been touched by a gift that has made some seek your help, and others make up cruel tales about you. It’s been a harsh winter this year and after a particularly angry mob drove you from your home, you must find someway of providing food for yourself and your lovely little cat.” GENTLEMAN “Some call you privileged, some call you spoilt, others call you out of touch, they would all be absolutely right. You have had the best of everything while you were growing up but now either you do something with your life or your father will cut off your huge inheritance! This whole thing is totally unfair!” RED-CAP "They call you the Beast Whisperer. Born with the ability to calm wild animals, you have found that people tend to cross the pathway to avoid eye contact. You think there is something terrible in the darkness that you are honour-bound to defeat.” PRINCE or PRINCESS "It is for every young member of royalty to show that they are worthy of ruling a kingdom so long as they can prove to the King and Queen that they are capable of living in it. You must show wisdom and bravery on your journey." WITCH "Shunned by most people but known to a select few as a great healer. Your knowledge of nature and mysticism has been handed down to you by every woman in your family." HUNTSMAN "As a member of the King’s Forest Rangers, it is your duty to keep the balance and law of the forest intact. You have worked hard for little reward all your life, but now is the time to let the world recognise you for your skills and pay you for what they are truly worth.” PIRATE "A life at sea is all you have known since you were a boy. Feared by many in the Caribbean, now you are back on the land from which you were taken. As you made your life by the sword and plundered on the high-seas, these landlubbers should be no problem for you.”

Before each quest, the teacher will explain that this world is not real, and is all part of the theatre of storytelling, acting and role-playing, The quests will involve monsters, magic and the supernatural. All shows are secular in nature not presenting any of the fantasy story subject matters as real. If you are uncomfortable with any of these subjects or feel that your child would find these topics too scary, we suggest that this show might not be for you. We have been doing these shows both live and online for six years, and have yet to find anyone who has not wanted it to be scarier. If they can sit through an episode of Doctor Who or the first few Harry Potter movies, they should be fine.

Hi, I'm Olly Mc

I will be giving students an amazing live-action fantasy interactive role-playing adventure. Each Quest will involve talking to creatures and characters such as wizards, goblins, witches, and elves. The students will need to work together, communicate, solve problems, and cast spells.

As well as this, I'll be teaching in other classes, how to take amazing portraits using theatre and budget techniques.

With over 30 years working in theatre and games designs, I now run an interactive theatre in Rye, East Sussex, UK. Twice "Trip advisors" Travelers choice award, our shows have now been converted into exciting Zoom shows. Online Live-Action Role-playing Game of the Year 2021.

A member of the Magic Circle, prop maker for the BBC, designer for the Bahrain Royal family, and internationally published fantasy portrait photographer.

Creator and writer of the best-selling Storymaster's Tales role-playing games, that are sold worldwide on Amazon.

I believe that everyone can gain confidence, learn co-operation, and teamwork through game playing education. Just because it's enormous fun, doesn't mean it's not learning.

All the live characters are played by myself, with the addition of sci-fi legend Tom Baker (Doctor Who) voicing the introduction to the shows.
