In New Guitarists Only! Level 2, we'll build on what we learned in the first course. Get ready to dive deeper into learning simple tabs, expanding your chord vocabulary, and mastering more notes and strumming patterns, all so you can play more songs! t's the perfect next step for those who have been playing for a few months and are ready to expand their skills.

๐ŸŽธ Reading Simple Tabs: Practice reading simple tabs to play fun, easy riffs and melodies. 
๐ŸŽธ Expanding Note Reading: Learn notes on the D and A strings and practice reading them in simple melodies. 
๐ŸŽธ Developing New Strumming Patterns: Add new strumming patterns to your playing, improving your rhythm and timing.

๐ŸŽถ Finger Exercises: Make your fingers stronger and quicker so playing notes and switching chords is easier.
๐ŸŽถ Note Reading Practice: Get better at reading and playing notes on the D and A strings.
๐ŸŽถ Tab and Chord Practice: Get comfortable playing tabs and switching between chords faster and more accurately.
๐ŸŽถ Strumming: Learn new strumming patterns to add more variety and rhythm to your playing.
๐ŸŽถ Perform for Each Other: Practice playing in front of others to build confidence and get feedback.
๐ŸŽถ Q&A: Ask questions, and get feedback: Clear up anything you're unsure about and get tips to help you improve.

Lesson 1:
Chord Review and New Chords
 Review G and Em chords. Learn new chords (Am, C, and D.) Practice switching between these chords.

Strumming Patterns (New Rhythms)
 Review basic strumming patterns.
Learn a new strumming pattern with a bit more rhythm.
Apply the strumming pattern to the chords you've learned.

Notes on the D String
 Learn the notes on the D string.
Practice reading

Lesson 4:
Notes on the A String and Combining Strings
 Learn the notes on the A string.
Combine these with the D string notes for more melodies.

Other Details

Pre-Requisites
โœ…Must have successfully completed New Guitarists Only! Level 1. OR โœ…Knows how to play and read notes in open position on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd string. โœ…Knows G, C, and D chords. โœ…Knows basic strumming patterns.
Supply List
โœ…Guitar: Acoustic or electric (plugged into an amp).
โœ…Notebook and Pen: For taking notes.
โœ…Handouts and Sheet Music: Provided by the instructor.
External Resources

Blake holds a Bachelor's of Music in Jazz Studies from Western Connecticut State University. He's been producing, performing, and teaching music to people of all ages for over 10 years. In addition to teaching, he regularly performs, writes, records, produces, and mixes various music projects of my own and for other artists and clients. He's deeply passionate about music and creating and loves to share the joy and knowledge of how to express oneself musically with his students. His classroom is lively, lighthearted, and upbeat. You can expect lots of encouragement while he gives feedback and pointers to improve. He aims to cultivate your creativity, stretch your musicality, and hone in on what sparks your musical curiosity. He loves to laugh with his wife and to be with his family and the friends that may as well be family. He loves to create, whether in the form of music, or writing, or drawing, or painting. He enjoys the creative process.
