NBA: Battle of the Best
Each week, students will lead and debate respectfully on who they feel is the greatest guard, forward, big and finally ending with who is the greatest basketball player of all time.

In this class we will be debating the best basketball players of all time. Week 1 we will debate the greatest shooting guard. Week 2 the greatest small forward. Week 3 The greatest center and last but not least, week 4 we will debate who is the overall greatest basketball player of all time. Each student will be given time to present why they chose their player for each category. Students will be required to research and use statistics and facts to support their opinion. After each student presents their argument, the class will be able to ask questions and discuss their thoughts on this particular player. Student’s will learn to discuss their opinions and differences while respectfully listening to each other’s point of view. Students will be asked to be polite and respectful towards each other’s opinions. I want each student to feel like their voice is heard and respected while also being able to agree to disagree with conflicting ideas. Let’s have fun discussing the greatest basketball players to play the game!
Learning Goals
Students will improve on their ability to have a debate with others in a respectful manner. We will learn how to agree or disagree while being civil to each other. We will also focus on how to construct a well supported argument with facts and statistics. Students will learn more about their favorite NBA player.

I've helped coach in basketball camps from high schools to universities.
