Even though this class is pre-recorded, I will be giving constant feedback! Every drawing/project should have a picture of it uploaded into the Outschool group. I will be commenting on every single one.Class Experience
🎨One whole month of art--done for you! This course is ideal for 3rd-7th graders. 🪴We'll dive deep into the traditional element of line, and then mix it with plant categories--monocots, dicots, and conifers. 🌴In this Mini FLEX course, your learner will learn all about plants through art. Using easy-to-access materials, learners create drawings and projects that reflect the plant-topic of the week. {Class Schedule} Week 1: Two videos/projects teaching your child about the element of line, how to spot it, and how to draw with it. Week 2: Two videos/projects discovering monocots, dicots, and conifers all around us in nature--while also learning to sketch with basic lines. Week 3: Scavenger hunt video where your child can go outside (or visit a local grocery store if it's too cold out) and gather monocots, dicots, and conifers for the final project. The 2nd video combines everything your student has learned into one final project. Week 4: Catch up and upload week! Because there are 2 videos/projects per week, your child may not stay "on schedule." I want this to be student-directed, so that's okay! I give you this last week to finish up any projects, post into the group, or make up your own! {Changing the schedule} Does this schedule not align with your homeschool? No worries! Save the links you receive each week and spread them out over a whole year of school. This class is $14 a week for two 5-10 minute lessons, 2 drawings/projects, and group feedback from the teacher. I offer sibling discounts (50% each additional learner, so please ask!). This is a total of $42 for 3 weeks, plus a free week for catch-up work. {How it works} In this class, you get 2 video art lessons per week. That totals to 5 ART VIDEO LESSONS and 1 NATURE SCAVENGER HUNT! I've set up this mini-course to be done within 3 weeks. However, there is SO much content in here that it could easily be spread out into 1-2 months. Each Monday, you'll receive a link from me sending you to the Bitmoji classroom (it's just a Google Slides presentation). Inside, you'll see icons to click on as well as instructions. The worksheets, videos, and group info are all inside that presentation and ready to be clicked. {Feedback from me} I want to know all of my students! That's why I've linked an Outschool group to this FLEX class for free. Inside the Welcome email, you'll be receiving a promo code for a spot on my Nature Art Group. That will allow you to talk to me, ask questions, and get feedback. It is also a safe, fun place for your learners to interact with other kids and share their art! {Extra info} -Five and six year-olds are allowed to take this class. However, if your learner does not have a strong drawing hand yet, I would encourage you to be ready to assist or to pair them with an older sibling. -Optional: You can place all the finished drawings and projects into a 3-ring binder (I did!). They're all vertical so it works nicely. This also creates a great resource for future reference. Want more? This is a full nature art course that can be sped-up to fit one semester, or stretched to fit a full year of art. If you're interested in trying the full course, message me for a coupon code to get this course for free!
