Nature Art Camp (Ongoing)

In this 12 week ongoing camp, students will be creating arts and crafts using things from nature as well as traditional art supplies such as tempera paint. 
What is Nature Art ?

Making art from nature involves utilizing various elements of nature (such as leaves, sticks, stones, bones, water, etc) in a creative way to make a new art object. The resulting artwork makes a statement about both nature and humanity's relationship to nature.

A great way to get your supplies that involve nature...

One simple way to get kids outside is with a nature scavenger hunt! Give children a small paper lunch bag and challenge them to collect natural objects from the forest floor in every color from red to violet. The natural objects they collect will be perfect art supplies for Nature Art.

Class 1-  Leaf Prints - leaves , tempera paints , Copy Paper or Watercolor Paper

Class 2-  Fairy Wands- Tree Sticks, Leaves, Grass, Craft Rope or yarn, Flowers or Daisies

Class 3- Spray Bottle Nature Art-  Craft Spray Bottle, Tempera Paint or Liquid Watercolor Paint, Leaves, Watercolor Paper

Class 4- Charcoal Leaf Art- Charcoal, Leaves, Copy Paper

Class 5 -   Silly Leaf Monsters- Leaves, Tempera Paint, googly eyes

Class 6- Nature Crowns- Brown Paper Lunch Bag, Glue, Leaves, Daisies or flowers, grass

Class 7-  Make your own "Nature Brushes"- tree branches, leaves from different kinds of trees and plants, grass, yarn or craft rope

Class 8-  Painted Leaves Flower Craft- Tempera Paint, Watercolor Paper, brush, leaves ( different sizes 

Class 9- " Leaf " Dish Holder -Air Dry Clay ,rolling pin, 2 or 3 leaves, acrylic paint, smock, brush

Class 10-  Painted Nature Leaf Mobile- different size leaves, 10 sticks ,tempera paint, leaves, flowers, daisies, grass
