Class Experience

One of the most common mistakes new actors make when getting new headshots is wearing either too much makeup, or not enough. This class will teach the young actor how to apply their makeup for their next headshot session. It will show how to accentuate their unique features while still being natural enough so that when they go to auditions, their headshots will look like them! This class is good for both new actors and those who just want a refresher. Students will get personalized help with their technique and we will discuss the different "types" of headshots they need in their portfolio.

Supply List

Please bring any makeup you would normally wear on a daily basis. Include products like:
1. foundation (or a good bb cream/moisturizer with concealer) 
2. lip balm
3. blush
4. mascara
5. eyeshadow

External Resources

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Teacher expertise and credentials

Well hello there! It's so nice to meet you. My name is Beth and I am an actress, teacher, and avid movie watcher. 

As an actress I have performed at Universal Studios Orlando as the most wonderful British chocolatier lady. I have also worked as several princesses with a princess party company for many years, so I know about everything Disney. 

Currently I teach English on VIPKID and I am an actress in film and commercial work. I also have my degree in Broadcast Journalism, so I know both the behind the scenes and in front of the camera work. I love teaching children about the performing arts and helping to guide them in the direction of an acting career, if that is their passion. 

My classes will cover everything from acting, to makeup, to the business side of acting, and discussions on different movies. Can't wait to see you there!

*Please note for all classes, transfers will not be accepted less than an hour before the start of class. I will look at the reason for the request on a case by case basis and, if available, transfer the student to an open spot the night before.
