All content will be kept age appropriate. However, some of it may be difficult for sensitive learners. If you have any concerns, please contact me so we can talk about them. This class will discuss things like genocide, land theft, war and violence, disease, child removal and abuses at Indian Boarding Schools, racism and discrimination, harmful stereotypes, and Native political movements in the 20th and 21st centuries. Due to the ages in the class, there will not be significant details about some of these things, but they will be discussed in their historic or contemporary contexts. All pop culture will be age appropriate.
