***Please note: The Tuesday evening section of this class is for speakers who are a bit less advanced. We will use English when needed for clarification but try to use as much immersion as possible. -This group is designed to provide bilingual children with the opportunity to practice their Spanish with peers in an encouraging and supportive environment. This will be an ongoing class so learners can create rapport with each other which will further encourage dialogue amongst them. -This class has a rotation of fun short activities to encourage language maintenance and additional language acquisition. -Additionally, learners will bring something to share with the group (1-3 minutes max). They will be allowed a time to present, followed by Q&A and comments. -Presentation topics will be left open so that students can choose to present on things they feel passionate about or hold particular interest to them. -Maestra Zia will facilitate and encourage dialogue. She will correct pronunciations, noun genders, verb tenses, etc. if needed and help students if they can not find the proper words to communicate a particular idea. It is important to note that this class is geared more towards conversational Spanish and not grammar or writing. -Learners should have enough vocabulary and knowledge of the language to be able to present and ask questions in complete sentences.
