Maestra Zia is a native Spanish speaker who was born to Spanish speaking parents in a Spanish speaking country. She lived more than 20 years on the island of Puerto Rico where she completed two college degrees. She has raised fully bilingual children of her own and teaches numerous classes and workshops in Spanish. She also enjoys providing simultaneous interpretation services for her local church.

Details: Each week, learners will be responsible for choosing a topic and preparing to talk about it for 1-3 minutes. Visuals are encouraged but optional. The focus of the oral presentation should be to communicate ideas clearly so peers can understand and engage in dialogue.
