4+ hours per week. For students to create their own YouTube channel, they must work on their project outside of class time. Plan to spend 1 hour of additional time each day working on your YouTube channel.

Creators all over the world use YouTube to inspire others, collaborate with other artists, connect with fans, and share their passions with the world. 

In this camp, we'll start with the very basics of setting up your YouTube channel and begin to see your channel grow. 

Our goals will be for the class will be:

- Create a channel throughout the week as a group
- Each student create their own channel following the techniques discussed in class

DAY ONE - Getting Started 
- What's in a Channel Name? 
- Crafting Your Brand 
- Setting up your Channel

(YouTube, Canva) 

DAY TWO - It's Your Time to Shine! 
- Uploading your first video
- How to use that video to grow!

(iPhone or iPad for filming or Canva for graphics, BandLab for creating a song)

DAY THREE - Improving Your Channel 
- Lighting and Camera Techniques
- Editing videos
- Posting Tactics

(video editing app such as iMovie or CapCut)

DAY FOUR - Going Viral
- Trends 
- Shorts
- Analytics

DAY FIVE - Sharing
- Promoting your channel
- Sharing your channel with others
- Discussion about how to continue on! 

This class will apply to any channel topic -- music, gaming, business, history, math, etc! 

Students will need to use A LOT of technology for this course and will need help setting up a YouTube account. Parents may need to assist their students in using the different programs after class. An instructional video will be provided for each program. 

The programs we will use are:

- YouTube
- CapCut
- iMovie 
- Canva
- BandLab
