In this one time class, students will listen to the story 'Never Play Music Right Next to the Zoo' by John Lithgow. This engaging story follows a young boy who attends the orchestra with his family when some wild things start happening. Students will be able to show their creative side by imagining what it would sound like when animals play instruments. While reading this story, students will be asked comprehension questions about the story. Along with this, students will have the opportunity to participate in various musical activities such as rhythm practice, song, or mild movement. This will be a hands-on class where student input will be highly encouraged!
