Welcome to The Musical Movie Club! Each week we will pick a movie musical to watch in our own time, then come together in class to watch clips and discuss what we love (or don't love!) about the movie. Learners will not only get to talk about the musicals they are passionate about, but they will learn how to dissect, review and defend their point of view with a group of peers. Students need to plan to watch the movie we will discuss before we meet to get the most out of our session together. It's always ok if they forget and don't have time, but to plan to watch it is best!
As is often the case with musical theatre, there will sometimes be mature content. Please look into our musical of the week and make sure you feel comfortable with your learner watching it.
Having a subscription to Disney+ and Netflix will be helpful to access movies!
