45 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
Join Ms.Brenna for 45 minutes of fun learning the different instruments of the orchestra. In this one time class students will see pictures and hear the sounds of the 4 instrument families within the orchestra. After identifying each instrument the class will culminate in playing a few rounds of instrument bingo. Students will be able to interact at the beginning and end of the lesson. Students will need to have a printed bingo card and removable markers or objects to ensure multiple plays. No previous experience or knowledge required.
Learning Goals
Students will learn the 4 families of the orchestra and their individual instruments within each of those families by sight and sound. The students will then take their new knowledge to play Instrument Bingo together.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I am excited to bring your children into a love of music through listening, singing, dancing, games, theory and performance. I teach elementary level introductory music classes that focus on integrating other disciplines. Music uses math, reading, writing, science, history and social studies.
I have been a teacher for 20 years combined experience with public school, private/enrichment school and home school. I hold a Bachelors of Music Education from the University of North Texas, PK-12th All Level Texas Music Teachers Certification, a Level 1 Kodaly certification, and EC-6 Core Texas Teachers Certification.
I value children and love the process of learning. I believe that every child is capable of producing music in some form and am overjoyed when they connect with their niche. As a music teacher I get the privilege of helping them discover many musical passions available.
I really enjoy singing and will often make up songs to narrate what I am doing at the time. Super fun for me, maybe not so much for my own kids. I also will break out into songs that I know when they go alone with a current situation. I love to laugh, especially when others do or say something to make me laugh.
