Students will use a familiar song to write new lyrics and create their own song and sing it!
Class experience
The class will begin with the students deciding which song instrumental we will use. Then, they will listen to the familiar song to feel the beat and clap along. We will focus on listening to songs with the purpose of finding the tempo, beat and lyrical placement. Then, we will write song theme ideas and phrases using Jamboard that we want to use in the song.
