Music Production Lesson: Create and Record Your Own Songs
Class experience
Music production is the process of writing, recording, and distributing music. It all starts with inspiration for a song--and with some basic knowledge on recording technology and some practice--your songs will come to life. Meet with an experienced teacher for a 45 minute lesson on the following topics: Week 1 (March 28) Equipment and Software - Microphones, mic placement, and pickup patterns. Choosing your DAW and getting files set up. Week 2 (April 4) Scratch Tracks - Lay out song...
Through music production lessons, students will get to create their own recorded music. Students should expect to spend 4-6 lessons working on their song before it may be considered complete.
