Hello and welcome to Multplication and Division With Ms. B, Minecraft Edition. In this ongoing Minecraft class, students will work on different multiplication and division equations together. Students are encouraged to read the math equation outloud and as a class we will work on the math equation together. Then students will have the option to share their answer in the classroom chat OR or write their answer down on a white board OR use a pencil and paper. Then as a class, I will ask the group who would like to share the answer. Then we will work it out together as class to show how we solved our answer. We will also discuss as class how to use repeated addition as a skill to solve the equation. Students are encouraged to know their multiplication facts but it is not nessary as I will provide a one page multplication chart to use to solve our equations. As a class we will also discuss the relationship between multiplication and division. This is a super fun class designed for all students to feel welcomed and be successful along with practicing math skills. You can join at any time as each week will cover a different equations. This class will meet 2x a week, 40 minutes each class and does not build upon each other. Students in ongoing classes are able to join and leave at any time. After each class, I will have an additional worksheet to practice what we worked on in class. Here is an example of our word problem equation: While searching the Nether, Alex finds 4 groups of Pigmen. She relises that each group has 6 Pigmen. How many Pigmen did she spot? Answer is 4x6=24 OR 6x4 =24. Using repeated addition 6+6+6+6 =24 and 24 divided by 6=24

When the pandemic started, I knew right away that homeschooling was the journey our family would be taking. I have been homeschooling along with teaching. I began teaching when I was 18! I fell in love with teaching and showing students that they were Rockstars! (Reading Rockstar, Math Rockstar, Social Studies Rock Star). It was very important to me that learners felt that they were awesome and could rock any subject that was taught.
I have two amazing kids!! A Jr. in high school and a middle school learner. Our favorite things to do as a family is to travel and collect board games.
I am a huge advocate for special needs students. My son’s journey with Autism and ADHD taught me so much from learning about different therapies to IEP goals. I create classes so that all children with different abilities can participate and feel valued.
With my ten years’ experience, as a preschool teacher my passion is teaching children through engaging activities, while having fun. Prior to becoming a teacher, I was a private tutor for Kindergarten through 6th grade.
Currently I am working towards my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and becoming a certified Curriculum Specialist. With different classroom setting experiences I had the opportunity to focus on phonics, reading, sensory activities, science experience and history. Getting children excited about learning is what drives me every day.
