1 hour per week. Practise sheet(s) can be assigned to increase the retention of the class content. Time will be allotted in class to start the practise sheet(s) as well. If the sheets are not completed in class, the learner will need approximately 15 minutes after class to complete the practise sheets. Each week the practise sheets may take in total 20- 30 minutes to complete.Assessment
Assessment is informal and ongoing. However, upon request, a detailed mini report can be provided for each learner.Class Experience
US Grade 2 - 5
In this multi-day session that meets once a week, for 45 minutes each time, your learner will become familiar with their multiplication facts 0 through 6. Class content will centre around learning, understanding and reviewing the multiplication facts through explanation, demonstration and repetitive rapid-fire flash card use. As your learner becomes more familiar with the multiplication facts, their confidence and recall will show an improvement. Multiplication games will be used throughout dependent on the class size. Hello families,
My name is Ms. Paula . I am excited to be your learner’s new teacher with Outschool. I am looking forward to our time together in class. My interests are vast, but I am focusing on math (multiplication more specifically) and tutoring sessions for learners that either want to learn, want to have better recall or build additional confidence in their multiplication facts. I love arts and crafts and being creative. I bring a creative twist to my classes. Respect, kindness and patience are important to me; these traits I bring to each class. With gratitude, I am in awe of the OutSchool platform that allows learners to really enjoy interesting topics presented in various ways for learner comprehension and fun.
My education background includes a Bachelor of Arts. My studies included a major in English and a minor in Psychology (a great learning base for working with learners of all ages). I value learning through fun and demonstration where open and respectful discussions can occur. My travel background taught me plenty, as I lived in Dubai as a flight attendant for several years where I further developed my interest in fitness: power walking and now running.
I am looking forward to meeting your learner in my class; a space for understanding, fun, respect and gratitude.
