US Grade 2 - 4
In this flex class, your learner will focus on building the foundation and strengthening developing skills of their multiplication facts. The weeks will be panned out as follows: Week 1: 0 (zero) Week 2: 1 (one) Week 3: 2 (two) Week 4: 3 (three) Week 5: 4 (four) Week 6: 5 (five) Weel 7: Mixed review and project Each of the first six weeks will focus on a number. During each of those weeks, we will focus on building the foundation of understanding multiplication using number sense, repeated addition, and arrays. Learners will be shown examples of practicing using real objects, catchy rhymes, worksheets, silly stories, flashcards, and other techniques to solidify understanding. Each week there will be two prerecorded lessons that are posted: one on Monday at 8am EST, and one on Wednesday at 8am EST . These lessons will be accompanied by an assignment and it model how to complete the assignment. Bonus assignments will also be posted once a week (these will be optional). All assignments will be handed in by 8pm the following Sunday. Content may be shared on other days but this will not include assignments. Learners will be asked to complete assignments and interact with the other content shared if willing. If there is confusion or questions, I will reply well within the 24 hour mark to aid in understanding. On the seventh and final week, learners will practice mixed review of their multiplication problems. They will also be directed to create their own multiplication project to that could help another learner understand the skills. This project will be uploaded to the classroom so that their classmates and myself can compliment their hard work!

Parental Guidance
Students may be instructed to cut out items in their work using scissors. Scissors can be harmful if not used under supervision. Students may also use play dough, which can be harmful if ingested by someone with a gluten or wheat allergy. If your child has an allergy to any of these items, please choose a different item on the list to use for arrays: Skittles, M&Ms, chocolate chips, cheerios, or goldfish.
