Description

Class Experience

This math class balances concept and memorization of mulplication facts. Students will be able to understand what multiplication really means, as well as master the times tables, and they will have fun doing it! 
The teacher will explain the underlying concept of multiplication using fun visual representations to help anchor the concept. Each math lesson will be presented with fun and engaging pictures and stories. Students will be provided with fun games, activities, techniques, and...

Students will demonstrate an understanding of the concept of multiplication and master multiplication times tables for numbers 0-10.

A PDF will be provided by the teacher with a variety of activities and practice pages for students to complete each week. These should take no more than 15-20 minutes to complete each day.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Optional Multiplication Games

A variety of quizzes can be provided for parents who need to assess mastery level.

1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.

We will be using Multiplication in a Flash curriculum by Alan Walker. These resources are being used with written permission from the publisher.
