Assessment
Throughout the lessons there are several low-stake quizzes to assess learning. There are review questions at the end of each lesson which students are required to share with their teacher. There is an end of topic test at the end of the course to assess progress and feedback will be provided to students and parents on what they need to work on next.

Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 3
***This class is identical to my Multiplication BootCamp which I run all year and often have more availability on."

Attention!

Calling all trainee mathematicians.

Fall in for 5 days of fun maths where we grow and strengthen our multiplication skills.

Activities will include:
> Daily Drills
> Progress Charts
> Practice Exercises
> Multiplication Missions
> Passing Out Parade and Certificates for all

In between lessons I will give you and your parents resources from my Stay Fit Maths course to keep you moving as you practice your multiplication drills.

Further Details
During this Multiplication Boot Camp lessons we will:
- Identify the times tables that your child knows and needs to work on.
- Practice these times tables during the lesson and in-between lessons at home.
- Track progress on a visual chart through a series of recall-mini tests.
- Break down each times-table and explore ways of making learning a specific times table easier. This might be by
     •	using a method, such as a finger ‘trick’ with the nine times table.
     •	by knowing that the 4’s is double the 2’s and the 8’s is double the 4’s.
     •	exploring axioms such as commutativity which allows a child to rely on the fact that 4 x 3 = 3 x 4.
- Look at Fact Families to make a connection between multiplication and division. This helps with the 5’s for instance as we will see that the 5’s is half of the 10’s.

In between lessons I will provide you and your child with resources to:
1. Learn a new times table - Multiplication Drills where your child creates and practices with flash cards on a specific times table that they need to learn. For example, if they pass their 1’s and 2’s they would make the flash cards for their 3’s to practice in between lessons.
2. Practicing a times table your child already knows - Treasure hunt cards which you can print (or copy) and stick around your home environment. Your child then moves between these cards answering the multiplications. One set can be used multiple times because a child can repeat to get a new personal best time.
This practice is an invaluable part of the learning process and parental engagement and enthusiasm can make a huge difference to your child's learning progress over the week...and beyond!

Following requests from parents I have recently launched a course exclusively for graduates of my Multiplication BootCamp:
https://outschool.com/classes/multiplication-booster-for-boot-camp-graduates-ongoing-class-YN7lQVXU
This follow-on class is a weekly opportunity for your child to build on their Boot Camp Learning, to stay motivated and continue to boost their confidence and fluent recall of multiplication facts.

Learning Goals
Students will learn, practice and become fluent in their 1-12 times tables with an emphasis on fluent number-fact recall.
Concepts such as the axiom 'commutativity' and 'fact families' enable students to make connections between times tables and between multiplication and division.
For students who want extra challenge I will introduce the connection to future math concepts such as square numbers.
