Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 6
Fact fluency in multiplication is probably the single-most critical skill for learners to have a strong foundation in math. Knowing their basic multiplication facts makes ALL math going forward easier. Unfortunately, it is hard to get kids to memorize all of those facts willingly. Gamifying the process makes it happen faster and with far less struggle and stress.

This is why I created Multiplic-UNO for my students. Students may take as many sessions of this class as they'd like. During the one-time class, we will play virtual UNO on a private server that will be accessed via a link I will share during class. This link changes each class so that only those students who are present (up to 3) and myself will be able to access the server.

This is meant to be a fun experience to allow students the space to practice their multiplication facts while interacting with other learners. While I am okay 100% with healthy competition, unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated as my classroom is a safe space for all.

Parental Guidance
We will be using Pizzuno to play our virtual game of UNO. While this is not on the Outschool approved resource list, I have vetted it personally. All playtime will be on a private server with me present. When the class is over, that server will be closed and students will no longer have access.
Supply List
I am a homeschooling mom of five kids, ranging in age from ten to nineteen. We are diving into our 6th year of homeschool and we love it. I have a passion for both education and creativity and I love combining the two whenever I can. When I'm not teaching (my kids or someone else's), I run a business based purely on creativity and art.

Traveling (and 8 years of formal classes) gave me a handle on the Spanish language. I have a background in general education from 19 years of combined experience teaching in public and charter school settings, as well as tutoring one on one, ESL, and running various camps and activities. My experience ranges from childcare (infant) age all the way through high school age and includes work with neurodiverse and special needs students, as well as students with mental health issues.

I have a passion for, and educational background in Graphic Art/Design, however, my degrees are AA in Liberal Studies and a BA in General Studies with a concentration in Psychology. I am also TESOL certified.

Hi there. I am a homeschooling mom of five kids, ranging in age from ten to nineteen. We are diving into our 7th year of homeschooling and we love it.

I feel that children should be encouraged to follow their passions. Children need to know that they can have what they want for their lives if they have the correct tools and motivation to get there. I hope to help build confidence in my students and to give them some of those tools. I also believe that not every child learns the same way. Education is not a one-size-fits-all experience. I look forward to helping your child learn how they learn.

While I offer an extensive collection of class content choices, my specialty is meeting students where they’re at and making the course material accessible to all students, regardless of the topic. I love to be silly with my students and encourage interaction in all of my classes. I want learners to feel at ease and safe to be themselves in my classroom. My small class sizes and relaxed, encouraging teaching style allow me to tailor my classes to each student’s needs and learning style, resulting in learners walking away from class confident and smiling.

I have a passion for, and educational background in Graphic Art/Design, however, my degrees are AA in Liberal Studies and a BA in General Studies with a concentration in Psychology. I am also certified in TESOL and Art Therapy.

**I believe that education (even electives!) should be accessible to everyone. For that reason, I am offering 3 scholarship spots every month, to be used in any of my participating classes (excludes 1-on-1 classes, private tutoring classes, and small group tutoring classes) please see below for the scholarship amounts and details.

Scholarship 1: (4) One-Time classes to be used within the scholarship month
Scholarship 2: (4) consecutive weeks of an ongoing class
Scholarship 3: Multi-Day classes - I will calculate the daily cost and refund you the equivalent of 4 days.

These will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. If this could help your learner access a class, just send me a message to request a spot, no proof is required. Students can not request the scholarship 2 months in a row. We want to give everyone an opportunity.

I so look forward to working with your learner. Thanks for stopping by.
