Beginner Level
**Please Note: This is a self-paced course, allowing your learner to watch the videos, practice the skills, and play the games when it is convenient for you. There are no live meetings for this course, but I will be available with feedback, help, and advice to help your learner succeed for 5 weeks. You can expect to hear from me within 24 hours or less when submitting and activity or asking a question. This fun, high energy class will include interactive teaching videos from me, as well as games and activities that they can do in addition to the videos to help them practice the skills that I will introduce them to each week in the videos. This class is designed to review all of the letters and sounds of the alphabet as well as BEGIN to teach the beginning reading concept that letters can be put together to read and write simple vc and cvc words over the course of 10 sessions. This class is best for learners who know about 70% of the alphabet letters and sounds and are ready to begin to put them together to read and write simple words. This self-paced class does not include live meetings. Instead, I will upload two videos each week for 5 weeks. Each video will be approximately 10-15 minutes long. I will also include links to on-line games, and activities from YouTube, Google Drive to comply with COPPA I will send hands-on materials activities and games to help your learner practice each skill. . They will submit these activities back to me for feedback and help toward mastery of the skills we are covering in this course. I feel that learning happens best when children are engaged and having fun! Especially young learners ages Pre-K to1st Grade. I love to plan fun lessons and activities that make skills come alive for them and leave them wanting to do more!! Learners are invited to share photos and videos videos of them practicing the skills they are working on each week through activities and worksheets. Parents feel free to message me for any help you may need! Parents you may need to assist young learners in sharing short video clips or uploading activities they have done to the classroom for me to see and provide feedback for. Supplementary material will be provided at no extra cost each week to help students learn in class and at home.

Reviewing The Consonants And Their Sounds
In this video lesson we will use games/dry erase boards and other engaging activities to review all of the consonant sounds of the alphabet. Children will have fun games and activities to complete and share with the teacher to reinforce these letter sounds.
Lesson 2:
Reviewing The Consonants And Their Sounds
In this video lesson we will use games/dry erase boards/engaging texts and other hands on activities to review all of the consonant sounds of the alphabet. Children will have the opportunity to complete a scavenger hunt and share with the teacher to show mastery of the consonants sounds. They will also get to play some fun games and complete some activities in addition to the video to help reinforce the mastery of these sounds.
Lesson 3:
Reviewing The Vowels And Their Short Sounds
In this video lesson will review and reinforce all of the short vowel sounds in the alphabet through games, dry erase boards and engaging texts. Vowel sounds can be very tricky for young children to master so I like to provide a lot of opportunities for them to practice. They will have the chance to print out some special vowel cards to use for the next video lesson and for additional practice at home.
Lesson 4:
Reviewing The Vowels And Their Short Sounds
In this video lesson we will continue to practice those short vowel sounds through games/writing activities and engaging text. We will use the printable vowel cards to play a game together. Children will have the opportunity to play some games and complete some activities that they will turn in to the teacher to show mastery of the short vowel sounds.

Pre-Requisites
Children should have about a 70% mastery of the alphabet letters and sounds as well as a readiness to begin to read and write simple words before enrolling in this self-pace course.
Supply List
Magnetic letters if you can ( not required) Dry Erase Board and Marker Weekly game/activity or paper that goes with the skill for them to complete and submit. Supplies will be basic things you can find in your home or dollar tree. Paper/tape/index cards/crayons etc.
