This is a 50 minute long class where we will learn basic techniques and stitches to start you on your way to crocheting. We will start by learning how to do a basic chain and single crochet stitches. Once students are able to crochet a basic block in these stitches they can learn to create projects like scarves, wash cloths and blankets using these stitches. Students will need 1 ball or skein of worsted weight yarn and a crochet hook. This is a basic introduction class, please see my other listings for learning other stitches, continuous or flexible schedule classes and beyond the basics.
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to crochet a square shape in both single and double crochet stitches.

Parental Guidance
Parental Guidance is required for the use of sharp objects. Students will be using scissors and needles for this class.
Supply List
1 skein or ball of worsted weight yarn any color and a crochet hook size G is preferred but any size will work.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
