In this class students will be practicing all things writing. Writing is not limited to just essays, English is a large part of exceptional writing. During these sessions, students will be practicing several different skills. Together we will work on sentence structure, punctuation, parts of speech, verb tense, and grammar. We will also practice writing persuasive, research, narrative, explanatory, and informational essays. This class is designed to be in-depth and effective for student who want to improve their writing. During these sessions I will be teaching from power point slides, chat box, and different displays. We will be using the screen share and annotation options majority of the time during class. Students will need to have access to google docs, or some screen that they can write essays and submit whole projects for assessment. There will be time where a student might have some homework. My plans are that every few weeks or so the student will be writing whole essays for assessment purposes. I think this is important in monitoring progress and retention of topics being taught. On homework days, the student will have class time to work on the project but may need a few minutes outside of class to completely finish the essay.
