In this multi-week class, students will be working on paragraph formation, writing organizers, english elements, and a five paragraph essay.
Class experience
US Grade 5 - 8
In this class students will be practicing all things writing. Writing is not limited to just essays, English is a large part of exceptional writing. During these sessions, students will be practicing several different skills. Together we will work on sentence structure, punctuation, parts of speech, verb tense, and grammar. Students will improve their writing ability through the practice of English skills and by writing different types of essays.
I have lots of experience in teaching the elements of writing. I have been teaching writing courses on Outschool for over two years now. I also have experience teaching middle school English and Writing for several years in a public school.
Homework Offered
Homework will be occasional. As described above, students may have homework on days that we write full essays.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Learners will be assessed through observation and written essays submitted.Grades Offered
Students will be using the screen share accessibility during class. Students will use screen share on zoom so that together we can evaluate writing pieces and constructively analyze their writing. As well as using screen share students should use google docs when writing essays. Kahoot will also be used during some sessions as a way to review the materials. Students will not need an account to access Kahoot.
