Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 6
Beginner Level
In this ongoing class, students will learn the basics of coding through game building. Students will learn to use proper computer programming vocabulary and techniques to better understand the "why's and how's" of computer coding.

Each class will start with a brief introduction of our goals and objectives for the day. Then, we will review the terms we will encounter in our lesson and allow some time for questions regarding our vocabulary, goals, or objectives.

The rest of our class will be a step-by-step process in which students will discuss and implement the different stages needed to build our game. At the end of each lesson, we will review our goals and objectives and discuss how we met them in our build.

NEW STUDENTS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME!
Disclaimer and recommendation: I have projects listed by weeks and encourage new students to join during the first day of the new project. Weeks listed below. If student joins in the middle of a project that's been started I will do my best to help them catch up, but cannot guarantee they will benefit from the full experience of the project. All of these projects are beginner level, meaning the previous project does not impact their level of knowledge and skills in the next project.
