I will teach young artists how to identify shapes and lines in Super Mario Bros characters, and create a special Mother’s Day drawing by following along, as I guide the process step-by-step. Students will use a pencil to start with. After drawing the lettering and figures, we will outline and color them in, and students can use any coloring utensil they prefer! Crayons, colored pencils, markers, paint, pastels, the sky is the limit! Every learner can customize their artwork to be extra special for their own mom. Add extra characters or words, anything you want! In the end, each learner will have a super drawing to give to their Mom.

Hello, I'm Ms. Jes!
In my classes, kids unleash their inner artist using favorite characters and games that I’m just as passionate about as they are. We explore spontaneous creativity and embracing “mistakes”. Let’s start drawing outside the box!
I am most passionate about teaching art and learning in unique ways. My approach to teaching infuses encouragement and optimism while having fun and connecting with a new generation over shared interests. Every child is special and celebrated for being who they are! No matter the class, I believe in positively approaching learning and finding joy in it.
• Outside of Outschool, I founded a nonprofit youth performing arts academy in 2015.
• I live in the beautiful Midwest of the USA with my husband and two children.
• If you need financial assistance, please don't hesitate to message me, and I will do my best to offer a reduced rate whenever possible.
