During this circle time class, we will begin every meeting with how they are feeling. They may share why they are feeling that way, if they want. If they want to share more with the class, they may do so. We will go over the calendar songs. We will sing the days of the week song and months of the year song. We will discuss the weather at the teacher's area and the students' areas. We will practice counting and the alphabet. We will work our way up to 150 by the end of the class. Each day will cover a different letter and sound. We will start with consonants and then learn the vowels. This class will be the same every day with only the letter of the day changing. There will be one day during the last week, where we learn 2 letters of the day. This class will also be used to practice taking turns when someone is speaking. We will also practice speaking in complete sentences. The teacher will model and the students will follow.
