If you like my guitar, ukulele, or bass guitar classes, you'll love the "More Music Stuff" class! Here, we have our usual lessons to advance the student's interest in different instruments, but we also focus on songwriting and performance.
Class experience
Beginner - Advanced Level
In "More Music Stuff With Dave", we will cover: 1. Multiple stringed instruments - Acoustic guitar (strumming and fingerpicking) electric guitar (including pedals and amps), bass guitar, ukulele, and mountain dulcimer. 2. Songwriting - Forming the message, crafting the chords, enhancing the experience. 3. Performance - Choosing a venue, connecting with the audience, dealing with nerves. Classes will begin with an in-depth discussion about the students goals, and together we will form a plan...
This class is taught in English.
I've been playing music in some form or another for most of my life. Ranging from a stage of 1000 people (playing bass for my sister), to coffee houses, nursing homes, and public events. My wife and I have written 18 songs, and I've collaborated with many of my students to write and perform music together.
I do not have a certification in ADD or Dyslexia assistance, but my oldest daughter has both and I've learned a lot through the years (mostly patience, encouragement, and creativity in relaying information and keeping students engaged).
There are no prerequisites for this class. Students of all ages, skill levels, and passion for music creation are welcome.
