Parental Guidance
Please be aware of potential allergens while your learner works with nut butters, oranges, dish soap, etc. If you need help determining a substitute, please reach out.
Also, apple wedger/corers can be sharp. Please be prepared to supervise during class time.

Materials for Week 1: Folding Laundry and Cleaning Tables Clean laundry (wash cloths, hand towels, children's clothing), small hand broom and dustpan, cleaning rag, table cleaner Materials for Week 2: Snack Preparation Apple, handheld apple wedger and corer, butter knife or small cheese spreader, nut butter (or Nutella or softened cream cheese), crackers or bread Materials for Week 3: Whisking and Juicing Mixing bowl, whisk, dish soap, water, 3-4 oranges (cut in half), drinking glass, handheld juicer (either with handles or the twist kind) Materials for Week 4: Weaving Scissors, construction paper, glue stick

Hello!
I'm excited to teach English, Language Arts, and Social Studies through Outschool. I've been teaching in one form or another for over twenty years. I have taught all ages from early childhood to adult in public, private, and higher education school settings. I have a Master's degree in English and another in Montessori education. I have certifications in Montessori education (6-9 and 12-18) and Teaching English as a Second Language.
I believe in getting to know the student as a whole person, and meeting them where they are for the greatest learning success. I strive for an engaging and inspiring learning experience.
