Welcome to our October Montessori Full Curriculum class, where learning meets the magic of Halloween! This month-long course covers a variety of Montessori subjects, each infused with a Halloween twist to keep young learners engaged and excited. From history and language arts to math, science, and geography, students will explore different topics while developing critical thinking and hands-on skills. ✨We are proud to be the first and only accredited Montessori school on the Outschool platform, featuring certified teachers who bring their expertise from our brick-and-mortar school located in Ontario, Canada.✨ Throughout October, we’ll dive into these exciting lessons: 🐈⬛ 𝕆𝕔𝕥𝕠𝕓𝕖𝕣 𝟛: ℍ𝕚𝕤𝕥𝕠𝕣𝕪 𝕠𝕗 ℍ𝕒𝕝𝕝𝕠𝕨𝕖𝕖𝕟 Explore the origins and evolution of this spooky holiday. 🧟♂️ 𝕆𝕔𝕥𝕠𝕓𝕖𝕣 𝟟: 𝕃𝕒𝕟𝕘𝕦𝕒𝕘𝕖 𝔸𝕣𝕥𝕤 Identify nouns, adjectives, and verbs by reading a fun, spooky story. 🤪 𝕆𝕔𝕥𝕠𝕓𝕖𝕣 𝟙𝟘: 𝔸𝕣𝕥 Get creative with monster stone painting, perfect for Halloween decorations. 🦇 𝕆𝕔𝕥𝕠𝕓𝕖𝕣 𝟙𝟟: 𝔾𝕖𝕠𝕘𝕣𝕒𝕡𝕙𝕪 Discover Halloween traditions around the world. 🍬 𝕆𝕔𝕥𝕠𝕓𝕖𝕣 𝟚𝟙: 𝕄𝕒𝕥𝕙 Solve Halloween-themed math puzzles, practicing counting and the four operations. 👻 𝕆𝕔𝕥𝕠𝕓𝕖𝕣 𝟚𝟜: 𝕊𝕔𝕚𝕖𝕟𝕔𝕖 Create “dancing ghosts” using friction in a thrilling experiment. 🎃 𝕆𝕔𝕥𝕠𝕓𝕖𝕣 𝟚𝟠: 𝔾𝕖𝕠𝕞𝕖𝕥𝕣𝕪 Make a 3D paper pumpkin cube while learning about shapes and structure. 🧛 𝕆𝕔𝕥𝕠𝕓𝕖𝕣 𝟛𝟙: 𝔼𝕟𝕘𝕝𝕚𝕤𝕙 ℂ𝕠𝕞𝕞𝕦𝕟𝕚𝕔𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 Practice presentation skills by sharing costumes with the class in a festive show-and-tell. 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 Each class begins with an introduction to the day’s topic. I will complete the activity alongside the students, guiding them step by step and providing real-time feedback to ensure understanding. Afterward, learners will have a chance to work independently, exploring the lesson material on their own. We’ll regroup to share our answers and reflect on the activity as a class, encouraging collaboration and peer learning. Interaction is key in this class. Learners will have plenty of opportunities to ask questions, participate in discussions, and share their work with both me and their classmates. Whether we’re reviewing answers together, playing a game, or engaging in a group activity, students will receive personalized attention and enjoy a collaborative learning environment. 𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗥 The lessons are designed to be fun, interactive, and multi-sensory. I’ll use a mix of lectures, games, slides, videos, songs, discussions, stories, and worksheets to make each topic engaging and accessible for all types of learners. From singing songs about the parts of speech to experimenting with friction in science, every lesson incorporates a variety of teaching tools to keep kids motivated. My approach is to keep learning fun, engaging, and productive. I believe that children learn best when they’re excited about the material, so I strive to make each class feel like a new adventure. Whether we’re creating art, solving math puzzles, or sharing costumes, my goal is to ensure students feel supported and encouraged every step of the way.
