Learners will be assessed informally through participation of the monster sorting game, discussion, and drawing activity.Class Experience
US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
In this one time class, learners will listen to the story "I Have Manners!" written by David Parker. After the story we will discuss manners that are 'good' and manners that are 'bad.' We will use a game approach to decide and sort each monster into categories of using 'good' or 'bad' manners such as saying "please" for good manners and chewing food with our mouth open as bad manners. As a group we will then discuss some more manners and make a list. Using the list, learners will choose one good manner and draw a picture to represent it. We will end class by sharing our drawings with our peers!
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of manners and which ones are appropriate and inappropriate.
