"In this 40-minute class, young artists will explore drawing a monster truck using crayons, then painting over it with watercolors for a unique crayon-resist effect! They'll follow step-by-step instructions, adding their creative designs and ideas to their artwork. For this exciting session, learners will need watercolor paper, crayons, watercolor paints, a paintbrush, and a small bowl of water. This small group setting ensures individual attention and won't cancel due to low enrollment. We'll kick off with a review of lines and shapes, practicing as we watch the demonstration. Next, we'll draw the monster truck and ground using crayons, with learners adding their unique touches. Lastly, it's time to dive into the watercolor painting! I'll demonstrate how the crayon resists the paint, creating a fantastic effect. Throughout the class, questions are encouraged, with additional guidance provided whenever needed. At the end, learners can proudly share their awesome monster truck paintings with their peers. We'll explore art vocabulary like different types of lines, shapes, and the crayon resist technique!"
