Students will learn about budgeting. What is a budget and why is it important? What are their wants and needs? How can they save money? How can they earn money? What is credit? What is a credit score and why is it important? Money tips. During this one time 1-hour course, we will learn through discussion as we go through a power point slide presentation. I received training on this subject matter while working at Elgin Community College in the TRIO Talent Search program. I received training from the finance department as a group so that we could provide workshops to the high school and middle school students that we supported in the program. With that training information, I was able to put together a Financial Literacy workshop.
