Heather has a 4 year Bachelor of Fine Art in painting. She also worked for a large art gallery for 3+ years, curating exhibitions and writing about art. She is also an abstract painter and draws in her spare time, in addition to being an award-winning portrait photographer.
Learners may wish to continue finishing their artwork after class-time. This is not a requirement.
Art supplies of the learner's choice - pencils, pencil crayons, pastels, paint, virtual drawing pad, crayons, etc. will be needed to execute the student's artworks. The choice of artistic medium is up to the learner and the teacher will use a variety of mediums in class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Class participation & discussion
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
No artworks with obvious mature themes will be presented in class. No facts that are unnecessary to the students comprehension of the art work will be presented. Learners often ask how an artist died, or ask about their mental health and only necessary facts will be provided.
