In this class, kids will LOVE dancing along to their favorite songs from Moana! We'll start with an ice breaker to allow students the chance to interact with the teacher and each other. After that we'll warm up our bodies & stretch to get ready for our dancing! Students will be taught the basics of ballet and learn correct terminology for each step! PLUS, we'll learn a choreographed dance to their favorite song from Moana, "How Far I'll Go"! This class is perfect for beginners and students who have dance experience alike! For this class, dancers should wear comfy clothes or a Moana costume if they choose, plus socks or dance shoes. Also, make sure your child has plenty of room to move around. *Please note, this is not a class with Moana as the teacher, and none of the Moana characters will appear during class. This class is a mix of freestyle dance, structured ballet, movement games, trivia, and a fun performance.

Parental Guidance
Students will be participating in a physical fitness/movement activities though out the class. Please be aware that your child can end up injuring themselves. Therefore, please make sure your child has sufficient dance space, proper foot ware (choice of ballet shoes and/or socks). In addition, I encourage all students to have a water bottle near by and to warm up before class to avoid injury. Parental supervision is strongly encouraged to help your dancer maintain their safety and spacial awareness.
Students may need assistance in muting/unmuting their microphone during this class.

Hi! My name is Miss Emily, and I teach dance to kids of all ages.
I began dancing at a young age, and my love of the art form carried through into a professional career. I danced with companies such as Six Flags, and at the "Most Magical Place on Earth" - Disney World!
Upon returning to my home state of Wisconsin, I opened a successful dance studio. There, I train dancers pre-professionally in ballet, tap, jazz, & lyrical. In addition to teaching children, I train other instructors in safe, age-appropriate dance curriculum. I believe every child should have access to quality dance instruction, and I love that Outschool expands that reach.
On Outschool, I love teaching dance in a fun and engaging way to children ages 3-7. I teach themed classes like my "Frozen Friends Ballet Dance Class", and an "Under the Sea Ballet Dance Party", as well as specific ballet classes! I offer one-time, multi-day, ongoing, and flex classes in multiple different themes to suit every young learner!
